New Fantasy Draft Sim League
Hey everybody, new fantasy draft league starting up.
The basics: Simming twice a week, two weeks per sim Going to vote on coaches on/off when the league is completely filled Everybody starts with equal team market/fan interst 100M Cash Max Serpentine style draft (1st pick gets last pick in 2nd round, etc.) Salary cap of 120M (not much of a cap, but everybody starts equal, so no real need for one) Trades processed after the next sim (because of team export/file reasons) Thats pretty much it. Just a suggestion if you haven't thought of it already. If you are going to equal the team markets and fan interest you might want to look at initial broadcast and merchandise revenue too. After the initial draft the game adjusts these figures for each team. I've seen some leagues start with as much as a $10 mil difference in merchandising revenue between teams. Because merchandising revenue fluctuates very little from season to season a team with a higher revenue to start will have an advantage that will be difficult for the lower revenue teams to overcome.

Thanks for the advice on the merchandising revenue, I had not taken that into consideration...
The roster set has not been determined, it will be voted upon once the league has been filled Right now the two rosters getting the most consideration are Hirosch's 2003 (which seems to be bat heavy) and GForce (which has more balance, but the ratintgs aren't as accurate) |
