It appears like a day-to-day pitcher will not be used by the AI at all. I have a injured Day to Day SP and he has missed at least 3 starts now even though he is still set at #3 in the rotation. This is different than v3, where the pitcher could still pitch, but at whatever their reduced effectiveness stated (my SP's player page says he can pitch at 70% effectiveness). This could be a loophole in the game for online leagues since it looks like a reliever will take the injured SP's start instead.
It could be this same problem applies to the injured players as well, I have not tested that out yet. |

I had the same problem with Hampton for Colorado he was day to day at 93% effectiveness. In my league the AI wouldn't put in any pitcher in his place. I had to manually go in and take control of the team and replace him in the rotation to get the next day in the schedule to come up. I also had this happen when the cf Byrd for Philly was injured. I belive he was day to day but it's long enough ago I'm not sure. The game didn't want to put Glanville into the starting lineup even after I used the run computer manager(?) and create auto lineup. Again had to go in manually and put Glanville in for the game to continue.

This is a big problem in on-line leagues, where you can't change your lineups before every game.
I would imagine that it would be a relatively easy problem to fix for Markus and Co. |
