My character has been replaced?!

My 38-year-old LF went home only to find out he morphed into a 22-year-old middle reliever! Inventory is still the same, as is the bank account. What happened?

Come to think of it, my LF had been signed for a one-year contract and didn't make it out of triple-A. That might have something to do with this.

I would guess the LF retired and the MR replaced the LFer's player number.

Right, but I don't think the instant replacement should be happening. The MR definately should not have inherited the LF's inventory & bank account.

That just happened to my character. He had 2 seasons left on his contract, proceeded to continue to the next season, and he went from a 38 year old 2b to a 22 year old 2b. His name changed to Leonard Decapazo, he had all my old inventory and ratings, but all my bank account was gone as well as my HTML page stats. It also put him through the Amateur Draft (I was signed for abot $2.5Mil), and the sent me into the Free Agent draft, where I signed for $20Mil. And no, he hadn't been drinking.
He had just won the MVP and Steve Kuffrey refused to talk to him in Fiddlers (for the 2nd straight year).
The only thing different about this character from all the others I've done is this was the first career I did importing an OOTP league.
Or maybe the guy entered the Witness Protection Program?
