First Patch available

The first patch for Title Bout Championship Boxing is released! To download the files, please visit our download page.

These are the changes/additions made in this first patch:

1. New formula to determine the performance points, for better rankings

2. Organisational ranking: min. number of bouts = 10, may not be set to lower than 10

3. Independent ranking: starts with the 1st bout

4. When looking for fighter or venue images, it's no longer case-sensitive

5. Create Fight screen: the titles list didn't show the correct division after selecting fighters

6. Implemented a revised Unofficial Scorer Table

7. After watching a fight in the auto-scheduler, there have been two history records created for that bout. Fixed. Added button to delete history records.

8. Unranked fighters will not be displayed in the ranking lists

9. When editing the "Style" in fighter ratings (boxer/slugger) it was not saved

10. Changed order of the bouts on the fight card

11. Added fighter images to Fight Card / Main Event

12. Added sort functions for history grid in fighter records screen

13. Added toggle "Computer Selects Strategy" on/off in the Auto-Scheduler's fight options

14. On the Red Corner/Blue Corner Tab in the Auto Scheduler, the settings will be saved now and can be copied

Fighters are added to the database, and typos are corrected in the records.
The program and the fighter database are separate patches. You don't need to update both of them, it's optional.

This patch was released to fix the bugs which were found during the first weeks. More patches will follow soon!

I know it's a no win situation. I actually like my rankings to be different with each orginization. I'm finding that all three are damn near identical now. This is a bad thing. Is it possible for you to add a parameter to introduce a little variety? That way, people who want a straight list of the top ten points guys give or take one guy can have that and a guy like myself who likes to see a real difference (including guys showing up who don't really belong there, just like real life) can have theirs?
.....any thoughts?

I agree with rastak, actually. The rankings are now nearly the same for each organization.

If there is a way to make these tweakable (maybe even by editing some file... .xml or whatever) it would be perfect. It would also enable the player to add a unique ranking system for self made organizations.

Will be taking a look at this. Feel we have the major bug out of the rankings but need to as suggested "tweak" to get some reasonable variety in the organizations. Ongoing process to make this the best game possible.

I have a simple question, if the game reads 1.1.0 I assume that means the patch has been correctly installed, right?

How do I know that I have installed the new fighter data? Is there a simple way to verify?

yes if your game version reads 1.1 then you have installed the patch.

One of the easiest ways I verify if something is updated is to make a copy of whatever it is going to be wrote over and place it in a new folder, then copy over the original files in the correct folder, and when you do so windows will ask if you want to copy over the old files. This way you know for sure you have updated all your fighter files. Once everything works in game, depending on what I updated I will then delete the copy of the old ones I created in the new folder.

No, I think I got it. However, I think I did that, but I still can't tell. I was hoping that there was a specific fighter added or altered or some other clear indicator that I could simply verify visually. For instance, is Pazienza in the patch? Because, he is sill not in my fighter list. Or, did the total number of fighters change? I think I still have 3630. You know, that sort of thing. I do appreciate the response though......hope you had a nice holiday.

Nope...Usually a demo surfaces a couple of months after a release. The 1st demo was a mistake as said by Markus.

I understand what your asking. Yeah, its kind of hard to tell what is added and or updated with zipped files sometimes. I do know Jim stated he will add Paz in the next patch, he said he somehow missed it on this patch.

I had a great Christmas, thanks for asking. I hope yours was as good or better.

Has anyone heard when the next patch is coming out..has everyone noticed alot of fighters dont have condition ratings. Jim noted this and would take a look at this.

I hope this is one of the areas that will get patched next.

I have a question. I have held off on the patch because I don't want the rankings to the same. I like the difference between organizations. Yet, am I going to be sorry later that I didn't load this patch when incremental patches are released?

No, that's no problem - wait for the 1.2.0 version if you want to, there the ranking issue will be addressed again.
