Hey, I noticed today that after I bring in a pinch hitter for my pitcher, and then simulate the end of the inning ( I do this because the simulate seems to score more runs than I ever can) my pitcher can still pitch the next inning!
It only notices that the pitcher was taken out of the ballgame when I go in to get a new pitcher. This is a major bug as you can have pinch hitters throughout the game, but never have to take your pitcher out.

If anybody has had a similiar experience, or something to say about this I'd appreciate it. I normally wouldn't complain but I noticed the computer was doing this also. It's the equivalent of a DH hitter I guess (which is something I HATE about the AL)

What version of the game are you using? I play out most of my games and have never seen the computer do this.

Version 4.0C
Basically It only occurs when I'm in the "in game" part of OOTP4 and the computer put in a pinch hitter, and I then simulate a couple of innings. I noticed the same pitcher was pitching, and that when I came on defense the same PH was in the #9 spot.

So, you are playing the game "out", put in a PH for the pitcher and then do you play out the rest of your half of the inning or sim? I wanna get it exactly right so I can try to duplicate it.

yeah, I'm playing the game out.
I basically simulate the game until the pitcher comes up to bat. So I simulate the first inning, and then play out the second or third depending on if I think the pitcher will come to bat. When the pitcher comes to bat I put in a pinch hitter, and then immedietely simulate the rest of the half inning, so that when it's done I'm on defense. It's then I noticed that the pitcher I put in a pinch hitter for is on the mound pitching.

Yep, got it to work. I've documented it. Thanks for the head's up.
That is one of those odd things that will only happen if you do "zy and x".
