Mysterious Scratched Cornea Eye

I saw one other post where a guy ran into this exact scenario, so I know it's not just me. But I was wondering if anyone has any idea why this might have happened.

My boy Mark Portugal was gearing up for his next start when I noticed that somehow he'd gotten injured. I check and he's out for a week and a half with a Scratched Cornea Eye. There is absolutely no mention of this in any injury files (nor his own history). And the last game he actually pitched in was over a week ago. He only pitched 4 innings and he suffered no injury.

I found one other post where a guy's pitcher was mysteriously afflicted with a Scratched Cornea Eye as he was about to start his next game. Could this have been an off-field injury? Shouldn't my team doctor at least tell me about it? Is this a bug somewhere in the program?

I'm tempted to edit Portugal and clear the injury, but then I'd feel like I was cheating. Playoffs are in five days. :-(

I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has run into this or knows why this happens.

I once saw a guy be day-to-day because he got punched out in a bar fight, but it was on the injury report.

It happens somtimes, I always look at it as an error in the reporting and the injury is legitimate.
