Game Crashing When Importing Players

I am trying to import stats using the Baseball Archive 4.5 and the game continously crashes as it is importing the players. I have tried many different years, and as I am importing the players (The screen that says G. Bell (1000 Players Left) then the game cuts out back to the desktop. Has anyone expierenced this that can tell me what I am doing wrong? I am getting the error with msvcrt.dll. It was talked about earlier in this forum, but the responder gave help outside ythe forum, so I do not have the answer to go off of.

You don't have the most recent patch for the game, 4.0c. This problem was fixed with this update.

I am having the same problem. I have downloaded the new patch 4.0c and the game still crashes no matter what year I try using database 4.5. I just changed my computer over to windows XP
Could that be part of the problem. The game performs fine otherwise
