Play-by-Play message writes over itself

I just began playing and Managing a game following the Quick Sart process in the manual and the Play-by-Play looks good until it reaches a diagonal line. Once there it doesn't erase, therefore the next time the P-b-P line gets to that point it writes over the previous writing that's still there! This creates a very jumbled mess that's impossible to read. This also occurs up in the boxscores of the games in progress. You can't tell what's happening because it gets jumbled. Surely this is not happening on everyone's game. What must I do to solve this?

First of all, what are your system specs? But, it sounds to me like a DirectX or video card problem. First, try downloading the most recent version of DirectX. If this doesn't solve your problem, update your video drivers. If that still doesn't work, post again with your system specs (OS, RAM, memory, speed, etc.)

Thanks Hell. I'll give it a whirl. I'm far from a computer genius so none of this stuff is elementary to me. I know once this small issue is fixed, this is going to an amazing baseball history experience

Also try all possible combinations of DirectX On/Off and Full Screen/Windowed in the Graphic Setup program in your OOTP4 directory.

This program is also accessable through the Start->Program Files->OOTP4 menu (assuming default installation).
