Hi:
A quick note on some statistical errors relating to OBP- 1) In the player stat screen OBP is not calculated correctly. It appears to be including SF and CI as on base events and as plate appearances. OBP is (H+BB+HB) / (AB+BB+HB+SF). CI are non-events to the batter. 2) In the career totals screen OBP is calculated without using the HB or SF data. 3) OBP allowed is off for pitchers too. Cory |

I beleive the reason for the career and off pitcher calculations are incorrect, is because not all stats are stored for the career or pitcher against...

So the batter and against OBP miscalculations are bugs. The career batter OBP is another story. If career HB and SF aren't kept then I think they should be; OBP is THE major stat for a hitter and should be accurately tracked for a player's career. Choosing not to wouldn't be a bug, but it would be a mistake, IMO. Cory |
