How do you get the ratings cap so high?
I noticed that in some of the threads on this forum, people have their ratings capped in the 90's and at 100. How do you get them so high? I'm tried in the easy level with an OF and SS and I could only get like Contact (80), Power (40), etc. How can you get them higher across the board?

To Mcbaldylocks
Well, if you've read the threads, then you're aware that it's kind of hit-or-miss, catch-as-you-can affair, with some posters reporting wild success and others seeing no change in their rating caps. There is some speculation as to whether this is an example of the somewhat unpredictable talent increase and decreases seen in OOTP5. As far as I can tell and from the assemblage of information volunteered by posters, the best way to ensure that you can get cap increases includes the following: 1. You do a reasonably thorough workout schedule. 2. You keep within the range of the recommended ratio given by the computer. 3. The rating in question is already max'ed out. (*see Note) There are a few speculative additions to the above: a. Aprocryphally, a few posters suggest that a high Fitness *may* have an effect. This has not been verified however. b. Some posters suggest that you have to balance out the workout to all quadrants of the body - Leg, Arm, Upper and Lower. This has not been verified either. Some posters have written up their own workout schedules; you could try and experiment with them as well. *Note, with the new patch, supposedly it's easier to increase your cap rating by reading books - as long as your rating is capped out. Hope this was helpful and happy holidays!

I think i've found a pretty good workout schedule. In the 3 careers i've used it on i've gotten between 7-12 talent boosts which has helped to make normal lvl players into megastars with 80-100 across the board

I believe you have to exercise and stretch all four muscle groups to increase your ratings.
I was not increasing at all for years after my gouy maxed his ratings and couldn't figure out why. Then I found I made a mistake in the work out sched and put arm flex in twice instead of upper body flex and arm stretch. Within a week of the change contact, power and gap all went up. For the rest of his career he had what seems like the normal random increases. |

I have read books several times and have never recieved a talent boost. The most recent was where I tried power, reading the highest power book my maxed power rating would allow. Still no boost.

Now I just read the may book I could for "eye", and again no increase (and the message, as before, "already at max"). Is this happening to anyone else? I must just be throwing my money away on these books...
