problem bringing in position players to pitch

Whenever I am being routed, I can´t have one of my players currently on the lineup pitching, I can bring position players to pitch from the bench, but I can´t bring my 3b to the mound, for example.

It doesn't work that way in OOTP I'm afraid.

I would like to see it, but not sure how easy it would be to put in place. However, I know that the computer will use position players to pitch from time to time as I have one in a solo league that pitched.

A work around would be to use the editor to change the players position to a pitcher. THen you could select him to pitch I believe. I put my catcher in once to pitch, threw 6 pitches I think and was tired out.
