Question Question...

I've posted a few times about this game and while I'm not a boxing fan per se, I really enjoy OOTP, FOF, CM etc. I'm thinking about buying this game, however I'm not quite sure what the main concept behind the game is. I understand that the role-playing aspect will be added later so what can I do in the meantime?

Can I create a boxing universe and set up various fights? Do I control a stable of fighters and try and win championships with them or is it more of a what if program at this point? The idea of setting up a universe and then letting boxers compete for belts appeals to me. Is this possible with the program right now? I'm sorry if I'm not making any sense, I'm just not sure how the game is meant to be played since there is no role-playing aspect currently.

Thanks for your time

re: question

Well, you ask a very valid question. Title Bout seems to provide enough tools to do alot of things. I personally like to run my own boxing universe where most of the fights are auto-scheduled and then title fights are run with a dice roll against a chart I created...
Higher rated fighters have a better chance at a title shot. I also randomly selected a fighter from each division (to be my stable of fighters) and I run all their fights. This is one method of play...and is working really well I might add. Actually, a friend of mine stops by for gaming on Saturday nights and he's selected a fighter from each division also...so we run his fights too. Unification fights are something I would setup myself. Anyway, it's pretty versatile.

I think setting up a universe like you described would be pretty fun. Will the universe you create keep track of win-loss records etc.? I think I may have to buy this game and start playing, I'm sure I'll become addicted...

Wow, so the only thing you really have to do is age the fighters? Correct?
