A league I'm in just finished our spring training, and I downloaded the latest league file so I could ship out my opening day expimp. The problem is OOTP still insists it's Spring Training. No other owners are having this problem, just me.
I've downloaded the latest league file numerous times on my computer, and on a computer my computer is networked to. I've tried completely deleting the league directory and replacing it, no avail. I renamed the downloaded nahhbl.lg to blah.lg, nothing. Thanks much to anyone who can be of help. |

The player development history files seem to show Spring Training has occurred. How do you mean you seem to be stuck on Spring Training? When you load the game what does it say? What is the league date say and how does it correspond to the league date. (Which appears to be April 1, 1983)

The player development reports for all teams show no signs of Spring Training having happened. I examined the tdev# news files outside of OOTP4, they are the same as the ones in game. The main screen has the Begin Spring Training button in the top right, with complementing blinking "The preseason is underway." The date is 3/2/1983.
I reinstalled OOTP, still nothing. I think the problem, as with most things, is windows. It seems to be outputing a cached league file everytime I either download or decompress. [ 04-09-2002, 06:14 PM: Message edited by: MTXperience ] |

This doesn't match the file I just downloaded from this address:
http://nahhbl.ootp-leagues.com/NAHHBL.zip Is that the link you are using? |

That seems really odd. Try Firing up OOTP, Open a different league, then delete (get rid of fully) the old version of your league file. Then try downloading. Maybe something isn't overwriting correctly when you install the new league file.

It sounds like you are not unzipping the league files correctly, either they are in another directory somewhere on your computer or something.

I'm officially in some sort of data bermuda triangle. I tried downloading the data file from 3 different CPUs in my house, and everytime I got the same dated league file. Scott, or someother nice person with a decent connection email the file from the URL above to me at bwohldma@charter.net. Thanks.

It's 2 megs, so if your email address rejects it you'll know why.
but the file is in route. Have you tried deleting your Web Browser Cache and History... Almost sounds like its relying on an old file that you have stored. Kind of like when old webpages load up on your browser. Might be worth a try. [ 04-09-2002, 06:30 PM: Message edited by: ScottVib ] |

I've used 3 different CPUs to download and extract (using Winzip and Aladin Expander), they all download and extract the same file from spring training. Fortunately zipping and unzipping is something I mastered in the days of 2400baud BBSing. |

I got the attachment Scott (thank you VERY much), and everything is a go. I am COMPLETELY vexed about what the problem was, since you'd think 1 of 3 different computers (2 of which I rarely use, and have never previously EVER used for OOTP) would be able to fetch it off the ootp-leagues.com doman. Thanks again, I'll just write this off as some unexplained mid-western electromagnetical phenomenom.
