Importing players

How exactly do you do it? I've tried and failed.

I want to import players from one of my solo leagues to another of my solo leagues. So far I've been unable to pull it off. Is there a "Player Import Guide for Dummies" somewhere?

You CAN'T import players from one OOTP league to another using the game. Check the mods forum as I believe there is a third party program which does this.

Pierre's import editor works very well when you want to transfer players or teams from one league to another.

The only negative is it will mess up your career leaders stats and html career records in the league to which you are switching them. But it will transfer all ratings data. You might have to adjust players settings in "team strategies" as they revert back to default settings in the new league.

Read this second thread to solve the missing team problem in the tree directory. There is always one team missing from the directory tree. It's the last team listed alphabetically

Move the missing team to ANOTHER division...don't try to move it WITHIN a division, that doesn't work...and then the missing team will show up in the import/export directory.

Remember to switch the teams back to the correct division after the importation/exportation.

To switch teams, go to "League"..."League Setup"..."Edit League Structure"...click "exchange" for the team that is missing from the directory, then click a team in another division to to make the exchange. The original missing team will now be in the directory and the second team will be missing.
