possibly dumb question

Do fielding percentages get any better over time. A lot of roster sets have the young players with terrible percentages because it's based on small amounts of information. As the player progresses will this pct. improve or is it set there forever?

Sometimes they change between seasons or with a talent change.

My SS in my solo fic league is in his 2 1/2 season and when I brought him up he had no SS experience. He became a D & .930 at SS late in the second year. He was only a D & .939 at 3B in the minors.

So after only 1 1/2 years he equaled his 3B totals. Now he is a .943 at SS in the 3rd year.

Do you guys see fielding % change without a talent or range change. I never do..but it is hard to tell unless you are using BOSI or really watching it closely. I hope it does but at this point have accepted the fact that it is linked to talent (Range) and only moves when that is changed.

I have seen fielding % changes without a change in range.
