Rose Reinstated?

Petey hints that this is the month and that he'll be able to manage again.

Talk around Cincy is that Dave Miley will probably manage the Reds next year, and then the return of #14 in 2005!

He's probably thinking, 'just IMAGINE the odds I'm going to get on Reds wins now!'.

And he's right.

Well, if anyone ever doubted Selig was a complete and total idiot, this should convince them(I doubt there were any doubters left ).

I think that even if Pete Rose admits to betting on Reds games, or even if it is proven that he did bet on games without a single doubt, he should still be in the Hall. I'm sure about 50-100 of my posts were in Rose topics.

Neither ever admitted it....both were guilty as sin.

Actually, I don't know if MFitterer was guilty.

I wonder if Pete has been placing bets anonymously about when Pete Rose would be reinstated.

You just know that if it is true that Selig and the gang are just sitting there thinking -- "Pete, shut the hell up already!"

They can't be too happy that he is practically gloating over the fact that he's going to be back in before it's been made official.

As I recall, Pete wasn't that great of a manager to begin with. Other than what limited box office appeal a manager can offer, why should the Reds hire him? I could see a short-term bump in attendance, but after a few weeks the team will still suck and attendance will follow.

Wait, I know, it's an elaborate sting operation. Presuming that Rose is a compulsive gambler, he will do it again. And this time, he'll get taken down, then start crying "Entrapment!"

This could be fun.
