I am meeting....
The Florida Marlins President and Vice President on Tuesday (and six other Florida Marlin front office people). They are coming to tour the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76). Does anybody want me to tell them anything. I am going to give them a hug for winning the World Series. I am going to express the great joy I felt when they traded for Jeff Conine and the way you guys bashed it. This is not a joke. You guys should be happy for me. Too bad I can't meet any of the players.

Ya- tell Loria that cross-border RICO cases still apply- if he has a sense of humor, he might laugh.

Tell them Josh Beckett is the reason I'm now into MLB. (I wasn't prior to this years WS.) And the reason that I'll be following them next year.

Tell them if the Fit Dog can get Beckett signed to a 100K contract... they should be able to as well.

Tell Loria that if he wants more players with Conine's ability, we're always open to a Rollins for Cabrera trade.

Of course my wife maybe thought he was cute, so that might work out for her and she'd like that![]() Nah, seeing him pitch such a great game in the final game really got me interested in following his progress next year, which of course means following MLB So I may as well stick around and watch more

Can you tell them that if they're financially shrewd, they won't resign Conine as he accounted for 0.05 wins?
