any chance a demo could be released, even if it is semi bugged up, just so we can get our feet wet and checkout the game?

Once the game is released a demo will probably be released, no clue how soon however. With OOTP is has been roughly a month after but this maybe different.

thats what i was hoping. like maybe he could release somethin within the next few days even if it does have bugs just for us ta mess around with and checkout.

I don't see why it would be completely out of the question. The truth is that I completely understand that time is needed to fully test the game and I'd rather a company takes more time to release a good game then struggle to release a bad game earlier. I do, however, greatly appreciate it when companies give specific times when they plan to meet these goals because it gives the public something to look forward to. Now when its months in advance, deciding a time can be very difficult (i.e. Spring 2003 can easily change to Winter 2003) however, all we know is "sometime by the end of the year" which is rather large range considering that it could be anytime from 5 seconds after I post this until 5 seconds before midnight on Dec. 31. Given that we are so close to the release date, I think it would be a very good PR move on the part of OOTP Developments to provide perhaps a week window when they expect the game to be released (barring any complications and the like with last minute programming)... Alright, now you guys can rip into me.

Oh...and I'll be happy to eat my words if it is released. I really hope it is released soon....I just know that it was "Supposed" to be released back in April or something and here we are in December with it not out yet.

Same ol thing...nothing ever comes out when they say it will.

You mock me but did you or did you not have a release date in the early/middle of 2003? Did you make that date? No you did not. So you weren't even close to releasing it on time...and now you have the nerve to BS everyone and say

Oh..and Atom....I continue to say it because noone else is...for whatever reason...I'm not like you...I express what I feel...be it good or bad...I don't give a damn if Markus or Steve don't "like me"...I could care less...the only reason I continue to read this board is because I DO care about the game. I enjoy the games...thats why I continue to pump money into buying them every year.

Thats why I care so much about the release date being right...I want to be able to mark it on my calender...I can't do that because it changes from day to day.

All you people are used too is the "I want quality over...blah...blah" crap....thats all you people ever say...and I agree...thats what I want as well...but I don't want to be decieved into thinking this game is going to be coming out on a certain date and then not have it come out.

Thats dumb.

Dates have been missed no question, one reason why I don't like them but better to miss them if you can't "honestly" make them than to release an incomplete or inferior product. My post was not meant to offend but to show that a target can be made.

Hey...thats great...thats what you should have said in the first place. Because that leaves you a large time slot obviously. THat way :

A:The developers/testers/etc.. have PLENTY of time to go through the game and make sure bugs are gone and the game is of top nothc quality.

and B : You aren't getting anyones hopes up just to shoot them back down when you tell them its delayed another 5 months.

Surely SOMEONE can understand this.

No...its better not to make a release date at all...until the game is 100%finished. But everyone makes mistakes....no big deal.

I just hope OOTP6/ITP 2 are not given the same treatment as ITP has.

To me that statement was a moderately sarcastic reaction in response to your claim that OOTP Development games are never released on time. Your exact words were "Same ol thing...nothing ever comes out when they say it will."

He did not mention ITP in that statement and as far as I can recall versions of OOTP have always been released on schedule.
Therefore his statement was not as you say "B.S.ing you or mocking you."

My statement was in refrence to ALL gaming companies...they ALL do the same thing...and with the delays ITP has had..you can add OOTP Developments to the list. True....The OOTP games have always,to my knowledge,been released when Markus said it would. Thats why I never said anything about the release dates...he always delivered it on time.

HOWEVER....this game is still made by Markus...and this one has been given a couple of false release dates....I just hope its not a contniuing trend and only a one time thing.
