Oscar to return!

Glad to read Oscar will return in May or June! Whether you think he won or lost his last fight really doesn't matter, he's good for boxing which raises interest & he's usually not involved in boring fights.

He did make a good point, guys like Vargas, Winky, Shane, Vernon, Mayorga & other top guys need to start fighting each other. I'm sure they'd prefer not to fight each other with the risk of losing out a chance to fight Oscar for a big pay day. But if they're as tough as some claim to be, they should start fighting each other to let the boxing world know they deserve the right to win the boxing lottery & fight Oscar.

Why would he even want to come back? More money? I'm sure he's got enough.

There's nothing left for him perhaps other than a few more decisions going against him and then a good ole fashioned ass kicking once he loses half a step (they all get it if they stick around too long).

I guess he doesn't want to go out a loser, but they all do. They all do. That's the nature of the beast.

I think it's tough for those guys to give up the spotlight. I remember Sugar Ray Leonard once say there's no feeling in the world like when he was in the ring with 1,000's of people chanting his name. It must be some ego boost going to Vegas to announce or be in a big fight - you're treated like a king. Sure, Oscar & Sugar will always be recognized but these guys probably know their time as THE attraction is short lived so they try to hang on for as long as they can.
