How long is this additional delay likely to be?

Any idea how much more time we've got to wait?

I read the thread where the Trunzo's explained the reason for the short delay...it just seems odd that no one's given any idea of how much longer this is going to be.

We'd all like to know the answer, but OOTP has said they are not going to give out any more information about possible completion dates.

We'll just have to wait, with credit card in hand.

Silence on release date is NOT a good idea here--it isn't going to encourage people, ESPECIALLY given previous history with the product.

I agree with you, because people just don't have money stored on there credit card. You just can't jump out and have the game on the site one day like Pick a boo here is the game on the 12th. just like a fight have promotions you have to have a date set! And it should be no excuses to not meet that date, don't care how small your company is, or how new, because i know if we don't tell our customers (At my uncle computer shop) when there computer will be fixed they will leave. simple.

They're doing the right thing. As opposed to most other companies they're not going to release a steaming pile of crap because they promised a cetain date. I applaud them for doing things the right way. When I buy, I want a version that doesn't need to be patched twelve times in the first month.

Why do people act as if a release date is so important and as if the product wont ever be available any time after that date? So what if they don't tell us until the day of release? If it is released on a Monday and you don't find out about it until Tuesday does that really make one bit of difference?

Chill already with the whole idea of fretting over something so trivial that only a child would give two sh*ts about it. The release date will come once it is here and that is all that there is to it. Period.

Agreed. It will come out when it's good and ready and not a day before.

Well to me it is important, im not bashing jim and his team i think they are working very hard, but i jus got paid today and i have bills to pay and i just can't store money up like other people so if it is a release date i can do it but i just can keep 34 dollars up on a credit card, i mean a approx date will be fine if h said oct 13- 20 i can probly keep some money, i would hate it if i had to use the money then the next day the game came out! that would drive me crazy.

No Patches

One thing good about the delay is there shouldn't be a need for a instant patch fix the day after the release. Beta testing has been going on for a while now and those lucky few must be hard at it. I know others will not agree with me but I think it's all right to ask when the game will be released. And when the company doesn't know the exact date you do have to take that as a answer. But you know when you get a answer like that your going to ask again, and again. And I would have to believe the company would like that since your obviously are going to be a buyer. Right now any update would be nice. Can't wait to get my hands on the auto-scheduler!!

Let's see... We know betatesting has been going on since 9/25, and that the original plan was for 10 days to two weeks of betatesting. We also know that there is "a slight delay", and that the team really wants to get the game out. Figure 2 1/2 weeks for beta, because nothing ever is exactly according to schedule, and a week for the slight delay, add them to September 25, and we come up with... October 20. Maybe we should start a pool.
I think it's clear that they are on the final push and working very hard to get it out. A number of regulars on the board have quit posting, and we're getting only the sketchiest teasers from the development team. I'm positive none of us wants this to be finished more than they do.

That would be either October, November or December. Take your pick.
