Well established league, the VSBL, looking for 5 new owners.

Now in our 8th season, the VSBL - http://nwbl.csbl.net is looking to fill some owners that have opened up recently due to some attrition among the owner ranks. Birth of children and job changes have whittled our ranks down a bit and we are looking to get some new blood in the league.

Here's a bit about the league:

First let me get this out on the table so all of you can stop reading and flee in panic. We use OOTP4. Yeah a little outdated, but the league decided via vote that there was not enough of an upgrade value to go out and buy all new copies of OOTP5. We stated we'd hold off to OOTP6 comes out. Made more sense then buyign a new game every year. Since we started in OOTP3, we didn't want to upgrade after only 3 or 4 seasons.

If you have OOTP4 or if you don't mind doing updates through html (we have several owners who have me do manual changes for them since they own Macs or are just cheap), please read on.

We are a 24 league team, two leagues, 3 divisions of 4 teams each.

Do a full 162 season.

We have a mixture of real and fictional players, league was created using a Rolen roster when OOTP4 was just released.

League is fiercely competetive, but all in good fun. Humurous rivalries and press releases are encouraged. Mocking is expected.

There are no salary caps, but we set a cash maximum of $50 Million.

The league is goverened by the spirit of Albert Pujols trapped inside the body of a transformer known as Optpujols Prime. He is the sword enemy of the robot he overthrew - Vladimus Prime. They have no real power.

We run games 5 days a week, 4 game days at a time.

We're nice people and thus have a trade comittee set up to keep less eperienced owners from beign ripped off.

THere's more but this is getting long.

Our 5 openings at the moment are: Hartford, Topeka, Rice Creek, Newark, and Denver. Of them, only Denver is truely horrible. The rest of the teams are all doign well so far in the early stages of the 8th season and have had guardian owners looking after them, to make sure they weren't ravaged by being ownerless. Sadly Denver had an owner and thus wasn't so lucky. We are working on rebuilding that franchise though. Owners can move these teams to wherever they want in the world.
