How long after World Series before you taper off?

Now that the post-season is among us. Soon, the ball fields across America will be resting until the call of Spring. For me, my interest in OOTP winds down also and I find myself taking a break from the game around November until April. I was wondering whether other people also start slowing down in their pursuit of the pennant.

Comments?

I'd have to say my interest never really wanes at all. I may not play OOTP everyday, but I still run some solo leagues as well as my online participation.

Hockey takes a lot of my interest as well. I've recently discovered ESHM and will be spending time with that game. So I guess OOTP may be sharing my interests during the hockey season.

Mine is opposite. My fever for OOTP Heightens around November thru April. Wanes between May and October. Reason is because of the Offseason. When teams start trading and Signing FA, that's when I begin to get really interested in OOTP.

TAPERING OFF

I'm retired and have to admit this is the only game I play 365 days a year. Use to play High Heat but they messed that one up. I never get bored with this game. Without it my life would be very boring as I'm disabled. Keep it up Marcus.....

I play all year round. If anything, my interest in my league is a little more during the winter, since I play a what-if, solo historical league. During the regular season I find myself into the MLB and the real current players a little more (being in a couple of money-rotiseree leagues helps fuel this). During the winter, its all about the old-timers for me.

My interest in OOTP increases during the off-season. It helps ease the withdrawl.

I am confused here, You mean there is still something called Major League Baseball. Just kidding but thats how OOTP makes me feel sometimes. You know you have it bad when you make the mistake of throwing out some fictional player's name when involved in a discussion of the greatest clutch hitters of all time. I too, just ask my wife (grumble, gripe, moan) play this game year round. I guess if I ever hear that there is a football game like this out there I might take a break and play that, but it would have to combine career play with the ability to play out all my teams games. I simply find no thrill in simming.

I did check this out. I found out that this site already has a college basketball game that sells for $29.95. I purchased it. Guess what, you can't download it. Of course you will not find this out till after you purchased it. I have already contacted my credit card company and they have told me that no matter what this charge will be under dispute. I figure if I get knocked of twice in 5 hours and get nothing I want nothing to do with this group of rip off artists.
Crap is crap and I won't pay for it.

You should try contacting one of these three folks:

joe@400softwarestudios.com
arlie@400softwarestudios.com
scott@400softwarestudios.com

I know for a fact that they would be more than willing to help you download the game or give you a refund.

I play in an on-line league which is year round and I find I actually play my solo league MORE when the real world baseball season is over since I'm not watching real games and have amore time to play OOTP. I'm not real big into football or hockey so OOTP tides me over until February when pitchers and catchers report...

I play year-round. Once in a while my playing level falls off, but that has more to do with getting a new game than it does with lack of interest in baseball or OOTP.
