Seattle gonna fade away again!?!

With Mariners and A's tied, and the rest of the schedule completely the same. It seems the Mariners are choking again lately. A's won the last two series against Red Sox and Blue Jays,5-2, while Mariners lost 1-6 and 6 in a roll to the same teams.

It'll be the A's against the Red Sox in the 1st round!!! Fewest runs allowed vs. most runs scored!!!

But don't forget that Seattle and Oakland play each other 6 times at the end of the season. Maybe Seattle can get hot again or Oakland may cool down. It's anybody's ball game.

Yes, that's true. This just looked too similar to last season though.

Mariners 19-20 after the break, 11-13 after the trading deadline.
A's 23-16 and 15-9 respectively.

Ichiro, Cameron, Boone, Martinez all hit worse or much worse after the break. All five starters saw their ERA rising after the break too. These came just in time when Tejada and Chavez started hitting again. Jose Guillen might not be as hot as he was with the Reds, but still much better than all the other A's OFs. Tim Hudson's on fire right now, and Mulder's loss is covered by Harden.

Nothing looks good for the Mariners. And the knock on their age and lack of bench looks as true as ever.

Didn't the A's go on an amazingly long winning streak last year? I doubt it would happen this year. Mulder is out at least through the playoffs. That puts a lot of pressure on Hardin and Halama. Hardin looks like he's fading. He has a 7.54 ERA this month.

Lucky A's. Pineiro had that covered with a 9.00 ERA month.

And yeah, losing Mulder hurts them. Whatever they do can't hide the fact that Mariners are fading anyway.

Ichiro 6 for his last 45 helps the M's out a lot too.

It's HIS FAULT if they don't make playoffs now!

Sadly, the Phillies are fading even faster than the Mariners. All this while Abreu is actually on fire. Swept by the Brewers!?!
