Player Development

I have seen my prospects talent ratings change (average to fair) frequently over the first month of my season, but these changes do not appear on the 'player development' screen. Am I missing something? How am I to know my 'brilliant' hitting prospect in A ball is now a 'good' hitting talent unless I print out these ratings every few weeks? What causes these talent levels to change if I have the same scouts/coaches?

There are talent potentials and then the actual ratings. The actual ratings (the numbers) will change without letting you know about. Talents (Poor, Fair, Average, Good, Brilliant) will change but will let you know about it in Player Development.

I don't play with scouts or coaches on, but I do believe their view point and ideas about a player can change, so one week your scout may think a player is Brilliant in Batting Avg. and the next week he may merely be considered Good when meanwhile the player hasn't changed at all - just the scouts opinion.

It can also vary by what "screen" you are viewing them in. Sometimes it maybe "average" scout and other times your own team's scout.

I have yet to see the scouts opinion on a player change during the year though it will happen between seasons. Likely you are seeing what Steve is describing. If you are looking at a "universal" scouting page, one that every team can see, then you will see the players through the eyes of an "average" scout. Other pages are from your own scouts eyes only.

So this is just different opinions you are seeing, not changing ratings.

What do you consider to be "universal scouting pages" and what do you mean by the "other pages"?
