3 batters faced .. including Ichiro .. 3 strikeouts in the top of the 8th. Meanwhile, in the bottom of the 8th, Benitez gives up a run scoring single to give the Yanks an insurance run.

Definately not the end of the argument about this deal, but the Yanks definately won round 1

1 game can't be enough to say a deal was good or bad for either side. Only at the end of the season can we do that. All I was saying was that the Yankees won round 1.

I also remembered someone saying Ichiro would eat Nelson alive, so I found it pleasing that he struck out Ichiro during that inning.
