Teams from Different Leagues Playing Each Other?
Is it possible to get two teams from different leagues to play each other, and if so, how do I do it?
What I want to do is get the All Star team from my fictional league to play against the All Star team from the same year in MLB. I have imported the 1965 MLB squads, and I'm simming the league along side my fictional online league. I really want to have the MLB All Star team (this is essentially a solo league that's 100% AI managed) play against my online league's All Star team. How can I do this? Any ideas? Is it even possible? Am I posting this in the correct forum?!?!! Any help appreciated!

The only way would be to create new data and implement the other set of players exactly .. or merging a couple import files through excel.. not really sure but sounds like great idea..
problem is some peoples teams are way over stacked based on the talent pool already in their league |

Difficult thing from my point of view is actually bringing the '65 MLB All Star team over to my league.
Like I said, I have the Lahman database teams from '65, so can I just go to the database and pull out those players who made the '65 AS Game and put them in a created team, and then somehow temporarily import that team to my online league . . . I'm sure I can figure out a way . . . the way just ain't easy. It would be great if we could "export and all star team" if you know what I mean . . . |

Have you played with Pierre's team exporter?

It would be kind of interesting if someone setup a champions league, and went around league to league or an agreeing numbers of leagues who agree to put their champions in one format, and have games against each other.
Of course the leagues would have to have similar talent pools, as clearly some GM's or commishes take advantage of teams with too much talent. But an interesting thought. |

Yeah, I think Cuss definetly has the "intellectual property rights" so to speak on a "global" all-star challenge - which he has been working on, I'm just trying to get one set up for my online league, us v the MLB.
I haven't given Pierre's team exporter a try, but I will do. Thanks! |
