Question about all-star editor....

When are you supposed to run the all-star editor? I ran it before my solo league processed All-Stars and, much to my chagrin, I had to watch as the game overwrote everything I had done in the editor. Since I am inherently lazy and didn't want to go back and fix all of the histories, stat lines and what not, I let it go.

But I did recall reading a post from someone who said they ran it and got everything posted to the correct news files and player history files. I'd like to be able to do that, too

Thanks for the link, classic....I had read that post pretty thoroughly even before I d'ld the editor and attempted to use it. I did run it on the Monday prior to the AS break, but the news and reports and the game itself didn't reflect any of my picks. Oh, well. I suppose I will just chalk it up to being one of those mysteries of life I can't solve, like why it takes my wife four times longer than me to get ready to go somewhere.

Well the game will still report the players it picked in the League News and on the Player Report Cards so you have to manually delete that stuff if it matters to you.

Personally I don't use the editor for solo leagues because the computer does a decent job and it really doesn't matter. I think the editor was mostly designed for online leagues because owners vote for the teams. Most online commishes are very good & fast about being able to edit the reports, etc. Just seems like a lot of extra work for a solo league if you ask me.

It is some extra work, but I think I figured out the work-around. Because I am currently playing around the turn of the 20th century, basically all I need to do is lose the relief pitchers and replace them with other pitchers/players. Cool beans.
