Historical Leagues and deleting leagues

Hello,

After the 1901 season St. Louis (A) is joining the leagues in stead of Milwaukee. How can I make sure that the correct players are playing for St Louis without losing their 1901 (simulated) stats?
Problem with the release from old team - resign from Free Agents is that some players "don't like the organization" and thus are not willing to sign.

My second question is how to delete a league as they are chewing up quite some space. When I just delete them there are some error messages forcing me to reinstall the game.

Delete leagues w/i windows just DON'T delete the "last league loaded" when the game was open. I've also heard some say that deleting the "career2003.lg" can cause issues(but that may have been because it was the last league open).
