Cato/ltrans.html question
I'm trying to run the utility for our league season which just ended. I have the ltrans.html, league.html and lnews.html files, and Joe's Exporter (the version from Cato's site) works just fine.
Many of the multi-team players are appropriately placed on each team that they played for that year, complete with their statistical splits (WS, etc.). Others are not, instead having their entire season of stats attributed to the last team they were on. In looking through ltrans.html, I've found that the correctly processed trades look like this... Trade between Brockton and Houston : Houston gets : P Michael Houde Brockton gets : P Eric Rowan P Adan Cruz and this (I'm assuming that DELETE is a placeholder used by our commissioner so that released players who are picked up by another team can be processed as trades)... Columbus : Free agent Michael DELETE has been signed to a contract of $0 per year, for 0 years. Trade between Crystal Lake and Columbus : Columbus gets : P Ramon Menjivar Crystal Lake gets : P Michael DELETE Crystal Lake: Released P Michael DELETE. Examples of .html language that does not result in players' playing time being split appropriately among the teams they played for include the following: Houston: Released P Jesus Aguirre. Jacksonville : Free agent Jesus Aguirre has been signed to a contract of $1,881,000 per year, for 1 years. Seattle: Released CF Andrew Miller. Saginaw : Free agent Andrew Miller has been signed to a contract of $12,584,000 per year, for 1 years. (The second one was actually a player claimed by Saginaw on waivers near the end of 8/2004.) and this... Pawtucket: Released LF Tyler Olmo. Pawtucket: Released RF Rafael Labastida. Orlando: Released C Valerio Marrero. Pawtucket : Free agent Valerio Marrero has been signed to a contract of $6,101,000 per year, for 1 years. Orlando : Free agent Tyler Olmo has been signed to a contract of $1,300,000 per year, for 1 years. Orlando : Free agent Rafael Labastida has been signed to a contract of $0 per year, for 0 years. (This was a work-around attempted by our commissioner after he played our league games through 8/1 instead of 7/31, inadvertently missing the trade deadline.) I've gone into ltrans.html and edited things so as to make all of the transactions like the ones above that have been shown to work. For released players that have been resigned, and players claimed on waivers, I've used the Michael DELETE workaround. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to have any effect on the OOTP History website that comes out the other end. I've gone through the files generated by Joe's Exporter, but none of the .csv files appear to reference trades -- only the ltrans.html does. Is there anything else I can try? Thanks in advance. Do you have Access? If so, it is possible to edit the stats through it (although somewhat time consuming depending on the amount of editing that needs to be done).

That's my next task. I've been editing the Trades part of the database -- for some reason, none of the trades after mid-July were processed. No luck on my last run through, though, after editing. I'll keep experimenting. Is there another table within the database besides Trades that I would need to alter?
