Thumbs up *** OOTP 5.11 Patch RELEASED! ***

You can get it here:

http://400studios1.inetu.net/files/ootp/ootp511.zip

Enhancements:
- Added trading options to the advanced league setup screen, "difficulty level" and
"favor tendency".
- Fixed rotation AI, this now works as advertised, with the highest rested starter
always starting for human controlled team. The AI teams may well start it's #5 starter
even if the #1 guy is rested (in non-crucal games).
- Added the "find player" options and "display all players" to the almanac screen,
making it available for online league members
- Added Minor League standings to the Standings report and the Top Systems report
- Give the user more chances in contract extention negotiations
- Changed depth chart starting percentage logic. Example: A utility player has a 20%
starting percentage. Instead of having a 20% chance in each game to start, he'll now
start every fifth game.
- Added League-Wide Trading Block to the trade screen and the league HTML outputs.
- Trade screen is now accessible in online leagues without password, only the
"Receiving Team"-button is protected.
- The user may now up his bid to a free agent any time, even if the player already
favors the users offer
- Added park effects to the picture of the ballpark inside the team setup screen
- Added origin, outfield arm and catcher arm to the general CSV import/export
- Fine-tuned pinch hitting AI
- Fine-tuned player contract extention AI. The number of contract years is now valued
lower compared to the salary than before.
- Fixed other small bugs and cosmetic issues

I hope you enjoy it!

Cheers,
Markus

PS: This has not to be the last patch

IMO we are best off abandoning that sinking ship that is Off Topic to the rats infesting it and just starting a whole new Baseball Forum from scratch.

From my quick test drive of the 5.11 patch it seems that there really isn't anything that you need to restart a new league for to take advantage of the change. Is that the case? If so then I am very happy.

The only thing I noticed was that the League-wide trading block (which I love - I gave up trying to figure out who was on the block before the patch since it took too long) was empty until I added one person from my team but it could be the case that there actually were no other players on the block at the current time.

The trading sliders seem to help a lot too. I don't get offered lots of 5 star prospects for Terrance Long anymore. I changed trading to "Hard" and "Favour Prospects". I am assuming that "Normal" and "Neutral" will yield the same settings as before 5.11?

If the "Use Highest rested Starter" works now I can lean on my top starters a lot easier now!

Thanks again.

Did you check to see if there were actually no other players on the block at the current time?

Installed the patch and viewed a league file where several of the AI teams had players on the block, they showed up OK.

cool - it probably was the case that no other players were actually on the trading block at the time.

So it sounds like everything is available from the patch without having to restart a league!!

Thanks for the update.

Thanks for the depth chart improvement.

And thanks for the "pinch hit" fix. This should really cut down on substitutions and double switches in my 1950's era All-Time All-Star leagues.

Thanks for a great game, too.

Anyhow... thanks! Now my work day is forever lost, they'll get no work out of me today!

"Todd, did you get that pc fixed?"

"Yeah, he fixed the rotation AI"

Thanks again,

Todd
