Arbitration, or not?

I am approaching the end of a season. My question is how is arbitration handled? I see a list of players arbitration eligible and an approx amount to receive. Do I leave them on the roster if I want to oofer and release the ones I don't want to offer? If I leave on the roster the ones I want to offer, do they have the choice of not accepting arbitration and leaving my roster at the start of next season?

There are a couple threads about arbitration in the FAQ section. Answers will be in there.

Didn't I read something about a place to look now to get an "estimate" of what a player's arbitration value is?

You know, Steve, I just read that FAQ. There is a minor error in it ... players who are "Loyal, endorses team" will sign extensions in April, at a significant discount. After April, their prices go up a bit, and while you can still resign them for less than non-Loyal players, you don't get the absolute bargain you can get in April. I've signed players that would have gotten >$13M in FA for less than $7M to long-term contracts.....

Kinda cool ... players who are loyal to you will, in turn, reward loyalty to them.
