Real Draft Class = Real Results?

Was just wondering if the real draft class of the 1980 draft would means similar numbers that the players had in real life?

Other factors like injuries/players progress might take into effect but in general is there a correlation?

Real "imported" players typically have the "potential" to equal their counterparts, but there are no promises. Some will fall short and others exceed.

what if you import a player out of the database mid career? do they also have potential ?
