Just A Sim or can we actuallu PLAY MATCHES too?

I am new to sims of all sports, and was wondering if anyone knew in relating to this title boxing game, if you pick and choose select fights and then choose outcomes or watch outcomes? OR can you also choose fights, or possible scenarios and box, fight the matches yourself? or is it just a manager type game, where you choose situations and watch the fights progress? Hopefully you can fight too, wouldnt make much sense if you couldnt control the most important actions in boxing, the actual boxing intself. Anyone who knows answer to this please reply asap. I Am very curious about this thanks.

You can control fights as far as acting as a cornerman and choosing strategies at the beginning of each round for your fighter, which can have a profound affect on the outcome of a bout. But, you can't choose what kind of punch to throw or which hand to throw it with, etc. However, the fighters are rated very accurately as to what kinds of punches they throw most often and with which hand, ability to take a punch, knockout power, etc.

okay thanks. sounds like cool game, One more Q: Can you see the boxers moving, throwing punches boxing in ring? or just see text announcing updating on how the fight is going?

Unless the developer has a surprise up his sleeve, you will just see text commentary of how the fight is going...like a radio broadcast. I believe that this is a good thing, because it lets you use your imagination and picture the action in your mind.

And, hopefully, if the screen shots are any indication, the commentary will reflect the traits of the actual fighter.

For example, Ali will dance and throw quick jabs and combos to the head, while Frazier will bore in and throw hard left hooks to the head and body.
