Real Life Fictional Players

so far in my solo fictional league, I've found 2 players who have the same names as real life players.

my star hitting prospect is...Mario Mendoza (this is just oh, so wrong).
I thought that was pretty cool, until I stumbled accross a guy on the Astros - Donnie Hill, who, just like in real life is a switch-hitting second baseman.

Anyone else come up with strange instances like these?

I had a power-hitting first baseman named Jack Clark show up in my fictional league. Did fairly well for eight seasons in the bigs and then had a CEI.

My soon to be starting full-time left fielder (he had been platooning with a guy who is not worth the money he's asking for) is Gary Clark.

Not to be confused with good ol' #84 of the Washington Redskins.

I had a stud power hitting prospect by the name of Carlos Delgado who sandwiched a bunch of .260/30 HR seasons around a .330/50HR MVP season. He was a Shortstop but had E range. Unlike the Blue Jays, I was able to dump him for good young pitching.

I'd love to have Delgado agree to a trade to Boston and regain his form from 2000... I might forgive him for me taking him in a fantasy baseball draft before last year ;-)

hehe...good topic.

I don't recall the AI generating the names of any famous ex-big leaguers in my league, but it has generated a few that are famous in history and the entertainment industry. So far I've gotten a George Washington, John Adams, John Kennedy, Henry Ford, Francisco Pizarro, Dick Clark, Barry Williams, and Vincent Price .
