Logo needed for Greensboro Generals
Need a logo for "GREENSBORO GENERALS".
COLORS: blue primary with red and white secondary ...or your choice of colors (see "Fayetteville Generals" at www.logoserver.com in the baseball "South Atlantic league" for the "star within a star" design...and "Greensboro Generals" in the hockey "ECHL" for the 5 star design) I like the "star within a star" and the "4 or 5 star cluster". Use them if you like them...or do it your own way. Thanks for your help. |

I have a very good 'Generals' logo that could be adapted easily.
Oddly enough, it has a 'G' encased with a star. |

Cooleyvol:
Thanks for the logo...it's very well done with very good colors. I have to depend on someone creating it for me. All I can do is download the finished product. I'm sure the guys that help on my logos previously will take this and change the team name or design another. Thanks again for supporting the OOTPB Community. |

Eugene, if you would like, I can replace the Vicksburg with Greensboro, and resize it. I have a similar font - won't be exactly the same, but would be pretty close. Let me know.

Do whatever is the easiest for you. If you use the Vicksburg logo, use a less fancy script..make the emblem a little smaller so you can put both "GREENSBORO" and "GENERALS" on it...above and below the emblem. If you use the Winston-Salem logo created for Brownkeg8...just make the emblem a little smaller and put both 'GREENSBORO" outside and above the circle and "GENERALS" outside and below the circle...with curved blue letters...all on a light gray background. This is my preference, but will be pleased with whichever one you choose. If you want, just replace Winston-Salem with Greensboro on Brownkeg8. It is very nice as is. Thanks for getting all of the 80 logos on www.ootplinks.com. |

Tell you what. I'll do both, and you can decide which you like better.

Okay, this one here is the same as the one I did for Brownkeg8, simply replacing the text to Greensboro.

And this is the one that Cooley posted with the added blue text in it, and resized up to 150 x 150.

Thanks. Both are great...will alternate them. dbacks: Just for my own edification, how much time did you spend on these two logos? |

Second one - not long. It was just a matter of adding the text, and resizing it.
First one took a while - about 15 mins just to add the text, because you have to do it one letter at a time. If you want to see what I'm talking about, click here. It's a tutorial (not that I need it, but just to show you what I'm talking about), and it's a .pdf file which means you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view it. It took about half an hour - maybe even closer to 45 mins the first time I did it, because I did a lot more to the logo than changing the text. Last edited by dbacks; 07-09-2003 at 05:09 PM. |

Very interesting...Thanks for giving us some idea of how you logo designers come up with such nice creations.
