Boys of Summer League Requests Two

In the ultra-competitive AL West (every team is above .500), two teams are available:

Oakland and Seattle.

Oakland has a great 3-4-5-6 in Jason Bay, Eric Chavez, Nick Swisher and Dan Johnson. Also, Jeromy Burnitz is remaking his career as we speak in Oakland. The leadoff hitter is recently acquired Derek Jeter. The downfall of the team is pitching as it is average in every category except walks allowed, where it's horrendous. SS Bobby Crosby / CF Mark Kotsay can be dangled for a pitcher.

Seattle's Kenji Johjima is a force, but got a SEI. They've got great contact and speed, and are middle of the pack in BB and HR. Their pitching is slightly above average with King Felix leading the way and Tim Lincecum cutting his teeth in the minors. They are a slightly above average team in every way, and are only a few pieces away from contending.

The Angels are the leaders, but their age is starting to show cracks. The Rangers have a terrifying offense anchored by Todd Helton, who will start dragging the team down in payroll soon. As always, the Rangers' pitching is a joke.

BSL has:
- a recently instituted rule on buyouts, to get you out from horrible contracts
- will soon have a page where you can not only track regular player developments in talents, but also in RATINGS
- a commish (me) who strives to make BSL a fun time for everyone else - a hobby, not a job.
- 2006 rosters, with the Sept. 1 2007 sim coming up tomorrow. (League ran from 2005-2012 and restarted on a vote by the league.)
- OOTP 6.12 or 6.5 is needed.
- Salary cap of $100M, but you may go over it in trades, just not through FA signings/extensions. The one exception is the Yankees, who have been given until after 2009 to get under.
