Player extension in ootp5?

I searched through the board but could not find info I needed.
Doesn't ootp5 support extending contracts of your players and then being able to FTP them to commish? I have had 2 owners try it and it did not work. One the FTP would not import, the other the import worked but not the signings. Is there a how to or steps to make this work?

No, commish has to handle this.
