Player of the game
Here are two players from a game I just completed.
Player 1: 3/4 with a walk, a HR, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBIs. Player 2: 2/4 with a HR, 2 runs scored, and 4 RBIs. Player 1 was named the player of the game. Well, why's that a problem? It's a fairly close call between the two, certainly. The answer? Because player 2 also pitched 8.1 innings, walking 1, striking out 9, and giving up 2 runs. It'd be nice if the game could recognize the offensive contribution of pitchers when selecting the POTG. Not earth-shatteringly important, obviously. But nice. |

I agree, I've seen this before and it's been discussed on these forums if I remember correctly. The game either takes offense, or pitching, into consideration - not both.
