Ohtani Injury

Will OOTP ever give us the choice for Ohtani not to go on the IL if he is still able to pitch or hit? Whenever he has been hurt, for me, my only option is to put him on the 15-day IL, no matter what the injury is. Is this the same in IRL? We have seen many times where he can't pitch but can still hit.

I second this. The only workaround I can think of is to edit arm injuries to be day to day with subtantial impact on throwing.
