Is it possible to create players and make them eligible for the MLB draft?

I want to add Rintaro Sasaki without restarting my game since I just started a new game where I play each game and am in mid June 2026.

Short answer yes. In commission mode go to the free agent screen top right corner import players create fictional players it's the furthest drop-down box on the right to create fictional players.

Thanks. I get that part. But if I create him now (mid June in game) will he be available for selection in the MLB draft in a couple of weeks or will he just be a free agent anyone can sign?

One of the options when creating a fictional player is whether or not to make them draft eligible. Choose yes to include them in your next draft.

Thanks, everyone, for the help. I think that kid (Sasaki) has a ton of raw power so will be interesting to see how an japanese kid developed by MLB compares to guys like Murakami and Okamoto who were developed by Nippon Pro Baseball.

You can also go the player editor and specify exactly which draft for which they will be eligible. I've created several fictional players and add them to my amateur draft pools.
