Hello,
I have been OOTP since OOTP 24. All has been well until around halfway through OOTP 26's lifecycle. That is when the most confusing bug I have encountered was first encountered. If I click too fast, the game completely freezes and looks to be on the verge of crashing but doesn't. Some game functions became completely unusable. Namely, the filter system and in-game substitutions. What is even weirder is the fact that this series of bugs/performance issues has spread to the other OOTP games. I can say confidently that this only happens within the OOTP games as no other in my catalog does this. I have tried just about everything in my computer knowledge repertoire to fix this. I've tried a complete reinstall of each game, I've tried allocating more memory to the game when it is open. I have tinkered with my computer settings to see if I deleted the wrong program or system. But no matter what I do, nothing fixes this issue. Can someone help? If visual proof is needed, I can provide. I just want this issue to be fixed so I can finally enjoy the series bug-free once more. |

Maybe you've already tried this? Is OOTP whitelisted in your anti-virus app?
Seems to me if previous versions all worked, the issue popped up in v27, and has now spread to the old versions, updates to your AV could be the problem? Or some app (new or like AV may have had an update?) that always runs is conflicting with OOTP? I'm not computer expert enough to offer suggestions on how to check on that. You don't say what your computer specs are. FWIW I'm speaking from a pc user perspective. I know nothing about Mac. Hope you find a solution soon.
