I am amused
At the pitch repertoires ascribed to various old-time pitchers. I doubt that anyone before Burt Hooton threw a "knuckle curve" for example. And similarly, I believe that George Uhle was the first to throw a primitive slider.
If there is in fact reference material supporting the assignment of these pitch repertoires, I'd be curious to know where that info could be found. |
