AI won't lose DH in catcher injury situation?
Will the AI never lose the DH in a situation where the starting catcher is injured and the backup catcher is the DH? Just an example here...

I don’t see the problem, Hicks didn’t switch to catcher by looks of the box score.

Just guessing but looks like the injury occurred near the end of the game and there was no need to replace him.
However this would just be a substitution and position switch I'd think. DH moves to C, bench player enters game as DH. |

If the DH moves to C you lose the DH and pitcher has to hit.

I believe he wants Hicks to switch to C and the DH to be lost as opposed to having a non-catcher like Austin Slater to go in as catcher. It also appears as though it was more middle innings as Slater ended up with two AB's

This is what would happen in this situation IRL though. Teams are occasionally willing to lose the DH in emergency situations. Quote:
Correct. |
