A couple questions about "Update ratings with real stats"
I've never played with this option before and I'm intrigued. A couple questions:
If you turn off all of OOTP internal development engines, then players ratings will change only relative to their real world performance and "development", right?
I understand that the updates weight small sample sizes, so ratings don't dramatically change. Have people found that that system does this well, or are there problems with large swings in ratings?
Finally, I was wondering how often people who use this option update the ratings for their league?
My instinct is to update once a week in order to keep my OOTP-players closely aligned with their real world counterparts. Is there an argument or reason not to do this?
This is a one year project and not a long term save. I simply want to play along with current Tigers season and have the players in my league most reflect current status of players in the real world.
