Next Fix Build - Estimated Date - This one is not stable enough to play
When do you expect the next build to be complete?
With the numerous bugs I'm seeing, this one is not playable. Teams without personnel don't function well. There is no reason to spend any serious time in the game right now because there is no long-term way to play because the save gets destroyed with teams blowing money when churning players and not hiring personnel. This is my 12th year with the game. I know it will be fixed, but this is the worst release version yet with so many bugs. Disappointing that the standards of the game are going down. Thanks. |

Playing as Angels and half my ML team is on Minor League Contracts, the 3D play is buggy and inconsistent, there has been zero reply's to anyone questions about Online Play questions, almost like they are ignoring it willfully. No update or sign of additional Forums being added, no improvements it seems to signings, FA asks, and some very strange and persistent sim outcomes. I think this one is going to get a negative review this year from me.

Not a great start. Looks like they took two months to throw stuff together and released it to us, the users to test for them. I almost did not buy early this year. Will be waiting for a mid-season sale next year. I'm not paying to be a tester. Wasted this weekend fighting the game trying to play. That is not fun. Last edited by malor; 03-15-2026 at 11:27 AM. |

I'm not patient. I paid $50 for a game that should have been playable from day one.
5 minutes in on Tuesday, while changing the global game setting to match those used in 26, I noticed the close window font was not readable due to white text on white background. That is something every tester should have seen dozens of times. With that bug, my expectations crashed, and so far, I have not been wrong. Many other font issues making entire import screens unreadable (how that was missed is another mystery). So I chose to just sim and watch. First off season, AI signs and cut repeatedly many players, blowing through $30M in cash in less than 3 weeks. Sign player for $12M, claim a 2M waiver player and cut/release the $12m player. See another waiver player for 3M and cut the 2m one. Rinse and repeat. Between Free Agency and Start of Spring training, 30M lost. What made it worse, in my opinion, the players they kept signing were worse than the ones they released. I reviewed a few teams and saw the same. Add in the bug where the AI is not filling the personnel roles makes game unplayable. I'm seeing comments about players loading in long term saves and starting new online leagues. They will be sorry when they get messed up and they have to go backwards and start again. |

You do need to pay close attention as I said. If you don't look a the players salary when claimed or signed, you won't notice when released except for the change because they paid out the contract. I was going to attach a league, but with them being 4-5GB because I save everything, that is not going to happen. I've already deleted all seven leagues I've started so far. It's not hard to replicate, which is why I'm upset. Any tester should have caught if they looked. |

I'll confirm what he's saying, I've seen plenty of it in my now 9 years worth of the USBL.
You likely won't see it if you're not actively looking for it, but once you start digging into the sign, add to 40, waive/designate cycle it shows. Pretty sure devs acknowledged it in a thread somewhere, and have a note referencing in the known issues thread. |

Fingers crossed that the sign and release issue can be resolved. That was a big problem with OOTP 26. |

This board lists over 200 OOTP play testers.
https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/showgroups.php If there really were that many 27 wouldn't be the way it is. How many are there really? Raise your hands folks! The game isn't ready. And some people are dressed for the occasion. |

Nobody is a full-time beta tester. Testers do what they can in their own spare time. That list has built up across years and is not representative of just current/active testers.

Since the sale to com2us what is also being acknowledged - even indirectly - is the ownership of OOTP. OOTPD is owned by com2us. So it's no longer about rallying around Markus and the boys. Is it heartening when the new ownership doesn't seem to have much investment in improving and promoting the game? And to be fair to the OP - computer-controlled teams hiring and managing personnel is hardly a new feature still working out kinks. |

I expect a game to be playable when released, which this version is not. That is what we pay for as customers. I did spend many hours tracking and noting issues, which I reported on the technical site. Only to be told, wait, we'll fix them, or we can't fix everything before release. That attitude is not acceptable. From a developer and certainly not from a fellow player like yourself. If you want to pay to be a beta tester, that is fine, I have no issues with you doing so. But I will not stand for it and voice my opinion. When you spend your money, you have a voice. |

As I stated in other threads/posts, if you want to recreate, it is easy to do, just run a standard MLB and watch. Takes less than 10 minutes to sim a season and start watching the offseason moves. Spend 45 minutes yourself testing and you will see the issues. I followed the Cubs closely. After noticing the issues, I followed the Dodgers, Twins and Athletics. Teams with and without money. In 2026-2027 offseason during my first watch, Dodgers wasted 22M dollars. Let the developers do the work if you don't want to do it. I'm not using any more of my time. I'll come back after the fix is noted in update log. |
