Not a big deal, but I had a player who I lost in free agency, and in the news & mail, it said they were traded away. Again, nothing major, just want the game to be as accurate as possible.

It has been that way for many versions. When the player signs with another team, the fan reaction email is sent if there is an impact. The same email is generated when a player is traded.
