Should I promote this prospect?

Hi all,

Playing with the Brewers, am about to start 2nd season.

Currently Jesus Made is in AA and am wondering if this is good enough to bring up to AAA for the start of this new year?

His 2026 stats:
655 PA
.264 Avg
.365 OBP
.815 OPS
114 OPS+
3.3 WAR
125 K's
23 HR's

I'm afraid I call him up to AAA and he'll start getting smoked and have a low .200's AVG for the year. I dont know. What do you guys think?

what do his ratings look like relative to AAA? those stats aren't incredible by any means, but not terrible obviously

Guessing he's playing stats only or very low scouting accuracy.

His ratings suggest he's ready for AAA. Having said that, he's only 18-years-old. I think he needs some more seasoning at AA. Just my opinion. Cheers!

That's what I'd do. Start him in AA and check back after a month. If he's tearing it up promote, if not, check back the next. Rinse and repeat.

Personally I like keeping guys in AA until right before it's time to bring them up to the majors. With a young prospect like this you aren't pressed where you have to bring him up and I'd probably keep in AA at least through the All-Star game and see how he's doing. Maybe call him up to AAA for the last month and a half unless your AA team is in the hunt for playoffs and maybe keep him there to get that post season experience (which I'm convinced doesn't matter at all but it's fun for the storylines).

Make sure you invite him to Spring Training as non 40-man roster invite and get him as many AB's as possible.
