Laggy Menus

Are there any fixes out there for the laggy menus that happen after playing for a bit? In 25 and previous versions I would be able to just re-select my FPS limit and it would instantly go back to performing like I just opened the game. Ever since last year's game, not only does that not work but it also takes way less time for the lag to start. I can barely get through 2 weeks of the season before it becomes so laggy I have to restart my game. My PC specs should be more than enough to run this game without issue. I'm just desperate for a fix at this point.

Ideally one should restart their laptop/desktop on at least a weekly basis. With or without OOTP installed.

Yeah I experience the same thing, especially in 26. It's noticeable when trying to negotiate contracts with players, if you go to use the increment and decrement buttons (+$1m/-$1m) etc then it's almost like they don't get pressed on some clicks. Same thing with the radio buttons in the main org screen, when you try to select and deselect certain players it doesn't register and you have to 'over click' to get it to notice (even then it's intermittent). Feels like it's some sort of refresh issue with the games UI.

Even on a restarted PC and freshly opened OOTP

The main menu, even in 26, slightly worse in 27 often requires several clicks for the drop down to expand.. Sometimes it will expand then recollapse. Sometimes it will actually pop upwards and then you end up clicking an item from the dropdown even though youre clicking the main menu item.

There is additionally a memory/performance issue somewhere in the game,, haven't found the trigger yet. I thought it might be in the filter setups but cant repeat.

My PC is shut down at the end of every day, I have never let my PC run overnight. I've also disabled facegen, baseball cards, use the bare minimum of stats saved, and every other well known way to improve performance for at least the past 6 years. It's not my PC that's the issue, I can run much more demanding games without a hitch. It's just OOTP.

Has any sort of memory/performance issue ever been acknowledged by the devs? I feel like the advice of "shut the game down and re open when it gets laggy " has been around for years, presuming this is all part of the same issue.

I am not seeing any lag. I am on a Mac M1 macbook pro. Its a 6 year old computer.

Ya, it is a troubleshooting process and usually it's best to go after the lowest hanging fruit first. Generally, apps get laggy when simply clearing RAM is the fix. Not at all surprised it could be a OOTP-only issue. Next question would be machine specs, but it sounds like you're aware of possible things at your end. Other things I've discovered include the game crashing if I have custom stats view field open when the game saves to database; game freezes if I have uniforms editor open when gave saves to database (can't click out of editor) - these are two which immediately come to mind.
