Promotion/relegation league schedules
This bug, first reported for OOTP24, continues to exist. When utilizing promotion/relegation, the game will use an imported custom schedule for that season. The following season, the game will ignore the imported custom schedule and generate its own schedule.
The user can re-import the custom schedule, if desired, during the preseason and the game will use that schedule for the current season. However, the following season, the game will ignore the imported custom schedule and generate its own schedule. This makes it very tedious to build a promotion/relegation chain or pyramid of any depth that uses any schedule other than what the game will generate, as the user must re-import every single league's custom schedule prior to leagues beginning their seasons. |

The steps to re-create this are fairly simple:
1. In custom mode, create an 8-team league, Tier 1. 2. Create another 8-team league, Tier 2. 3. Set Tier 2 to promote 1 team to Tier 1. 4. Set Tier 1 to promote 1 team to Tier 2. 5. Set the games per season to 84. Leave everything else as-is. Well, turn off league evolution in case that goofs with something. 6. Start the game. 7. Take a look at the league schedules. Opening Day should be staggered and teams don't all share the same exact off days. That's because the game correctly loaded the ILN_BGY_G84_T8_C_a2gmo.lsdl schedule file. 8. Simulate the season, making sure to promote and relegate teams as appropriate. 9. Advance to the preseason. 10. Look at the schedules. Every team plays on the exact same days now and every team has the exact same off days now because the game generated its own schedule instead of loading the matching schedule. The League Options screen will still claim that the game loaded the ILN_BGY_G84_T8_C_a2gmo.lsdl file, though. |
