Would like the staff options updated.....President of Operations added. Maybe some more scouts....maybe some conflict on players evaluations.....reason scout would leave team.

The entire coaching/scouting database needs an overhaul and some more thought put into exactly how coaches with excellent development actually affect young (28 and under?) players ability to change their ability and get better at the things that coach excels at teaching.

It's supposed to work this way but I'm not sure it actually "works" in the game.

I think the game could benefit from having more scouts instead of one head scout. The head scout position would still be there, just as a general scout. Then you can have a scout for the minor leagues, regional scouts for the draft, an international scout to go worldwide to grab players for your international complex.

Not saying you are wrong but this was done in the first total rewrite version of OOTP following OOTP 6.5. IIRC you had 4 scouts and 1 head scout. Users complained it was too tedious and the single scout representing a team of scouts was implemented.

FWIW I liked it but scheduling each scout was made harder than it needed to be. IE scouts with higher abilities took less time to do a job than scouts with lesser abilities. So a high scout that did a job in 3 months took a low scout 4 months to do the same job. Rather than scrapping the 5 scout model I thought they should have just changed it so all scouting jobs take the same amount of time for each scout, with lesser scouts being, well less accurate/trustworthy.

I was one of those that hated the multi-scout, probably due to the way they were implemented. Tedious and time consuming for so little gain.

Maybe if they were handled differently it would have been alright. Having the "multiple viewpoints" on a player were nice.

Totally agree. I remember sitting down with a notebook and mapping out each scout's schedule (due to differing amounts of time it took each to do their job) to try to get them all to a "down time" so they would be able to scout the draft. It could be done but it was tedious and not fun.

The multiple viewpoints were nice. I'd be willing to try a new multi-scout model if they streamlined it. I wouldn't want to go back to the old model. I guess if they decided to make a new multi-scout mode they could leave an option to use the "one head scout" model we have now as an option. Just what we need another check box.
